Mibosport Cup R4 19/20 - report

20 janv. 2020

The fourth round of MIBOSPORT Cup is successfully behind us. Almost two hundred registrations promised close fights in almost every class and this expectation was fulfilled. No matter that weather was foggy and roads were sometimes more like ice and snow combined. That´s how it should be.

As usual, there were many guys from foreign countries in Hrotovice´s sports hall. So, we could watch bodies with union jack or flag of Netherlands as a name-sticker on it. Also, top drivers did not take a break and wanted to grab some points into scoring sheet.

BUGGY 2WD STOCK: Michael Skolnik and Jan Zalewski fought for the victory till the last heat. Michael was slightly faster in it and finally he took the first spot. Jan was second in front of his fellow Julek Laskowski.

BUGGY 2WD Modified: Max Götzl did really well. After decent qualification, where he finished as runner up, he kept all forces to strike a victory in finals. Ales Bidovsky was on point as well. Finally, he was able to do flawless run and second place was a great reward. Hupo Hönigl moved himself up to third as Adam Iszay fell from TQ to fourth spot. Bartek Zambrzycki completed the TOP5.

BUGGY 4WD Modified: Maybe we can call this class as surprise of the day. Don´t how to describe better the fact, that Bartosz Zalewski occurred on TQ position. And won as well afterwards. Decent runs from this Polish youngster were enough to keep the whole racing field behind. Max Götzl had to settle for the second spot in front of Hupo Hönigl. Bartek Zambrzycki did some great moves in front and finished fourth with Adam Iszay behind him on no. 5.

GT STOCK 17.5T: Ales Pelikan dominated the racing field again. No chance given to others. Günter Krausgruber was second with a comfortable gap to Daniel Hons on the third position. Ivo Gombik had to settle for fourth spot and Maty Knopp finished fifth.

FWD: Michal Bok took his first victory in front wheel class. The class of “real performing cars” was little less crowded this Saturday, but still had some great names on driver list. Werner Spannbruckner lacked speed, but still it was enough to capture runner up position. Tomas Liptak did well on the third position and Marcel Dostal was fourth in front of Radim Kamenik.

FORMULA: Most “populated” onroad class was honoured by ETS Series overall winner David Ehrbar´s appearance. This was a challenge for all top drivers. Finally, David claimed victory, but Andreas Stiebler on runner up position was not far at all. Also, Lukas Hoch on the third was strong. Thomas Dvorszky finished fourth and Werner Spannbruckner was fifth.

PRO STOCK 13.5T: Oliver Havranek showed just his back in this “motor-limited” class. His bestlap was really out of this space and after just two mains he could sit chilled in the pits watching others racing. Radko Cernohous performed some great runs as well rewarding him with second place in ranking. Lukasz Mach tried his best, but the third position was maximum possible. Simon Horak finished fourth and Tono Sloboda was fifth.

MODIFIED: Matej Sulc had nice fight with Oliver Havranek lasting almost the whole race. Finally, a couple of mistakes from Oliver decided that Matej will stand on top on the price-giving ceremony. Kuba Simurda was fast enough to secure third position in front of Petr Grof. Branislav Panak completed the TOP5.
