The idea came about due to the directly straight link stiffening the bulkhead and caster flex too much, and the removal of this brace specifically with the MMCX conversion provides too much flex in this area which can make the car inconsistent. The main issue was the bulkheads flexing together under compression of the suspension causing inconsistency in the handling and the inability to tune to different tracks, which can now be minimised with these brand new flex dampeners!
Made from super thin 3K carbon, they attach to the bulkheads directly and provide consistent dampening (restriction) of the flex at the front of the front bulkheads in every direction. There are two different stiffeners included, the larger sized one provides the most flex of the two, but still reduces the flex here by around 50%. The smaller one is stiffer, and reduces the flex by roughly 70%
This brace is an absolutely key tuning option of the MMCX chassis, and now instead of only "On or Off" directly straight braces, we provide medium options to give the perfect balance for your track.
Recommended is the stiffer variant for higher traction, and softer variant for lower traction. These braces provide more consistency and predictability overall on all traction levels, and allow you to fine tune your corner speed/steering balance.
